A Gathering of Legends

The 2024 Triple Crown of Rodding at Nashville Superspeedway brought the heat, and while the Elite 10 took home the big glory, don’t sleep on the rest of the Top 30 winners. These rides didn’t snag the top spots, but they’re anything but second-rate. This show is a heavyweight showdown, and these builds were ready to rumble. See our exclusive coverage of the Elite 10 winners HERE.

Not Just the Elite 10: Honoring the Rest of the Top 30 Winners

These cars and trucks stopped you in your tracks—chrome shining, engines growling, and paint jobs that looked like they were dipped in liquid glass. From custom hot rods with every nut and bolt polished to a mirror finish to tricked-out trucks with motors ready to shake the ground, these machines were dialed in.

The Show-Stopping Rides: Chrome, Engines, and Paint Jobs

So in no particular order, here’s our exclusive coverage of the rest of the TCOR 2024 Top 30—vehicles that might not have clinched a spot in The Elite 10, they still walked away with plenty of respect. In the world of hot rodding, there’s no “just another car or truck.” Each build has its own story, and these rides made sure to tell theirs loud and clear. And remember, builds can rake in multiple awards, proving just how cutthroat the competition is. At TCOR, it’s all about the craftsmanship—no gimmicks, just pure talent.

1968 Volkswagen Beetle Restomod – Wayne Callahan

1948 Chevrolet Loadmaster “Enyo” – Ring Brothers

The Ringbrothers’ ‘48 Chevy Loadmaster, aka ‘Enyo,’ is the kind of madness we love. It’s a slammed open-wheel beast with a chopped and narrowed cab, carbon fiber everywhere, and a 1,000-hp V8 that’ll scream down the track or roll up looking mean as hell on the street. This truck’s all about pushing boundaries.

MarCel Roadster – Luc De Lay & Chip Foose

Luc De Lay and Chip Foose knocked it out of the park with the MarCel Roadster. Luc hammered this thing together the old-school way—just an English wheel, a hammer, and some tree stumps—no fancy tech here. The design screams ‘50s Ferrari and Maserati, but it’s all original in how it came together. Under the hood? An LS3 V8 and a Tremec 6-speed, so you know it’s no trailer queen. This thing’s built to drive, and you’ll catch it tearing up SoCal streets soon. Pure craftsmanship, pure speed.”

Not only did the MarCel Roadster win a Top 30 spot, it also won awards from Greening Auto Company and Kindigit Design.

1996 Chevrolet C/K 1500 – Hill’s Hot Rods

All the way from Lubbock, TX,  Jason Hill’s ’96 OBS claimed a Top 30 spot and sparked a whole lot of super-charged late 80’s-early 90’s nostalgia in the process. Could this be the next hot trend?

1996 Chevrolet Dually “No Compromize” – Twin States Rod Shop

Mike Barcia’s ’96 Chevy Crew Cab, dubbed No Compromize, is fresh off a Best of Show win at Classic Truck Throwdown 2024. Built with a full custom chassis and 4-inch body drop, this dually fuses modern Silverado style with classic CK lines. The 15-year build features ISCA-level craftsmanship and a bespoke interior—no detail left untouched.

The transformation shines with an ’06 cat-eye front end, a bold move that took five years of hardcore fabrication. Sectioned and lengthened fenders, reworked wheel openings, and a 10-inch extended hood create a seamless, aggressive stance that keeps stealing the show.

1972 Chevrolet C10 – Hot Rods by Dean

Check out Mark DeAtley’s 1972 Chevrolet C10, a masterpiece by Hot Rods by Dean. Showcased at the 2024 Grand National Roadster Show, this beast was a contender for the Al Slonaker Memorial Award and a finalist for Goodguys 2024 Dakota Digital Truck of the Year. It features a chopped top, custom grill, and bumper. The custom front fenders highlight the Schott Wheels, while an LS4 roars under the hood. Inside, you’ll find a Classic Instruments dash and Vintage Air, Inc. system. The bed floor, crafted from aircraft materials, adds a wicked touch. This C10 is pure hot rod perfection!

1969 Ford Mustang “Bleu Bayou” – Goolsby Customs

Goolsby Customs’ 1969 Ford Mustang “Blue Bayou” is the kind of ride that stops you in your tracks. Coated in a killer BASF blue, this Fastback takes old-school Mustang style and cranks it up to eleven. It’s got a chopped roofline, custom rear treatment, and all the fine details you’d expect—like those one-off door handles and tail light trims. But the real showstopper is under the hood, where a supercharged Roush 5.0 Coyote V8 delivers a wicked 666 horsepower. With Baer disc brakes and Forgeline wheels, this car’s built to rip—and it flexed its muscles at the 2023 Battle of the Builders at SEMA. Goolsby Customs knocked it out of the park with this one!

1968 Ford Mustang “Rampant” – East Bay Muscle Cars

Brad’s 1968 Mustang “Rampant” is a million-dollar machine built to blow your mind. East Bay Muscle Cars didn’t just restore this pony—they reimagined it from the ground up. It’s rocking a 780+HP Edelbrock-supercharged Gen 2 Coyote V8, sitting on a Roadster Shop Fast Track chassis with Baer brakes and Forgeline SS1R wheels. Debuting at the 2023 SEMA Show, it snagged awards like the Goodguys Gold and Glasurit People’s Choice. Wrapped in Burgundy and Dark Bronze Glasurit paint, with a carbon-fiber front end and custom everything, this beast’s as wild as its name implies.

1966 Chevrolet Nova “Slick”- Driven Speed Shop

The 1966 Nova SS “Slick”is a symbol of perseverance and passion for owner Jeremiah Belk.  Slick earned a prestigious TOP 30 Award at its debut outing. This remarkable journey began with the sale of the owner’s first ’66 Nova to fund his business, leading to years of hard work and sacrifices. Inspired by his late Uncle Bryan Colbert, who ignited his love for muscle cars, he acquired the pro street ’66 Nova SS from Tommy Hemline. After years of hotrodding, the transformation began with a Roadster Shop chassis and Wegner Motorsports LS. Entrusting the talented Mikey Dee and his team at Driven Speed Shop in Gilbert, AZ, the Nova underwent thousands of hours of meticulous work, resulting in one of the the most beautiful shoebox Novas around.

1965 Buick Riviera – Hot Rod Garage Inc.

This Buick Riviera ain’t no trailer queen—this beast was built to tear up the streets. The crew at Hot Rod Garage Inc. absolutely crushed it. eBDCo’s design hits right, with a blown LS from Don Hardy Race Cars, fine-tuned by Dave at Auto Trend EFI. Cato’s Custom Upholstery made the inside as slick as the outside, Ridetech set up the suspension for action, and Schott wheels bring the muscle. Chrome by Jon Wright, custom luggage by Laurent Nay Maroquinerie, and a PPG refinish paint job round it out. When great companies meet great customers, magic happens.

1932 Ford – Frank Tetro

Frank Tetro’s ’32 Ford Sedan exemplifies street rod excellence, with every detail reflecting the craftsmanship that earned him widespread recognition in the rodding community. Best known for his award-winning 1955 Ford Sunliner, Frank has collaborated with top builders like Bobby Alloway to create show-stopping vehicles. This clean and meticulously built sedan secured a coveted spot in the Top 30 at the Triple Crown of Rodding, solidifying Frank’s legacy as a builder of high-caliber, artfully crafted hot rods.

1957 Chevrolet “Relentless”- Born Vintage Hot Rods

The last time this ’57 Chevy was whole? 29 years ago. Mike’s dad, William, handed him the pink slip on his 16th birthday in the early ’80s. Now, decades later, this beauty rolled into it’s first show, the Triple Crown of Rodding, and snagged a Top 30 trophy. Born Vintage Hot Rods dialed in the build, painting it in a deep custom “Randy Apple Red,” with Ron Magnus Interiors working their magic inside. And that chrome you can’t stop staring at? All Ogden Chrome and Bumper. And with this stunning result, it’s obvious the wait was worth every second.

1956 Ford Thunderbird – Cal Automotive Creations

Andy Leach and the crew at Cal Automotive Creations went all-in on this ’56 T-Bird, blending Italian flair with American muscle for Beth and Ross Myers. Bathed in vintage Ferrari Champagne paint and capped with a nickel-finished roof, this T-Bird sits just right, thanks to a 1.5-inch chop and a custom chassis from the Roadster Shop. Eric Black designed the wheels, which tuck under those slick reshaped fenders. Under the hood, it’s packing a Roush Coyote crate engine topped with Borla stack throttle bodies, sitting in an engine bay that’s as smooth as they come. Inside? Cream leather and a custom-machined steering wheel, with reworked T-Bird dials to keep the vintage vibe alive. This one turned heads at TCOR, no doubt.

1933 Ford “Carhartt Coupe” – Pinkee’s Rod Shop

When Keith Hill teamed up with Pinkee’s Rod Shop to build his ’33 Ford coupe, he didn’t expect it to snowball into something this wild. What started as a simple chassis project became an over-the-top, chopped-roof beast that has been winning awards all year, including the 2024 Goodguys Tanks, Inc. Hot Rod of the Year. With a Cadillac V8 that almost fought back and an insane amount of custom metalwork, this car has all the swagger you’d expect. And that Woodcock Brown paint? It’s so rich, you could lose a piece of candy on it. From tearing up the drag strip to cruising in style, this ’33 is a knockout. It also took home the Celebrity Pick Awards from both The Roadster Shop and Rad Rides by Troy.

1955 Chevrolet Nomad – Big Oak Garage

Gerry and Melinda Kennon’s 1955 Chevy Nomad just snagged a Top 30 award at the 2024 Triple Crown of Rodding, and it’s no surprise why. This beast, built by Big Oak Garage, combines classic style with modern firepower. It rolls on a Morrison Max-G chassis with air ride, Baer brakes, Schott wheels, and Diamondback redlines. Under the hood, a 755-horsepower LT5 crate engine is mated to a 10-speed auto, making sure this Nomad is not just a looker but a serious performer. The BASF black with a Root Beer roof channels Gerry’s ‘55 Bel Air, while the burnt orange and black leather interior keeps it classy. The Kennons were already riding high after picking up their Vintage Air Custom Rod of the Year Finalist award at the Nashville Nationals, and this Top 30 win just adds to their epic ride’s story.

1935 Ford Phaeton “Rodster” – Reister’s Rod Shop & Squeeg’s Customs

Ken Reister’s 1932 Ford Phaeton is a jaw-dropper that landed a spot in the Top 30 and earned a Celebrity Pick from Chip Foose. It snagged the 2024 Meguiar’s Street Rod D’Elegance at the Goodguys 23rd Del Mar Nationals earlier this year. This full-fendered beauty isn’t just a showstopper—it’s a rolling piece of art. With its candy apple red paint, thanks to Squeeg’s Kustoms, and a design by Chip Foose, it’s got the style to back up its substance. Underneath, it’s packing a polished Kugel suspension and a 302c.i. Ford Performance crate engine with triple-carb-style fuel injection—serious performance paired with old-school flair. Inside, it’s decked out in brown Apex leather and retro ’37 Buick gauges. This ride is pure class with a side of horsepower, proving once again that Ken Reister knows how to turn heads and win trophies.

1959 Chevrolet Impala – Riveting Rides

The 1959 Chevrolet Impala, masterfully built by Madison Alexander of Riveting Rides Hot Rods and owned by Bill Hill, is a true showstopper. This stunning vehicle recently showcases exceptional craftsmanship and design. It made a remarkable debut at the 2024 BASF Nationals, winning the Builder’s Choice from Alloway’s Rod Shop and a Goodguys Staff Pick. Additionally, it was featured in the Builder’s Showcase at the NSRA Nationals in Louisville, KY. Riding on a Roadster Shop chassis, this Impala boasts Schott wheels and a powerful Magnuson Superchargers topped LS engine, making it as impressive under the hood as it is on the outside.

1969 Ford F100 “Time Capsule” – Scott’s Hot Rods

Check this out: Troy Peck’s 1969 Ford F100, dubbed the “Time Capsule,” made its grand debut and snagged a Top 30 award right out of the gate. This beauty from Scott’s Hot Rods is turning heads and taking names!
