HEMI WITH AN ACCENT
We know little about European drag racing, other than our sources tell us it is hotly contested and very popular. Frenchman Herve Caen is a drag racer, and at age 35, is the owner of not one but two silver ’68 ‘Cudas. One is a nitrous-equipped 440 Wedge built by Dick Landy Industries (DLI), and the other is this beauty, a duplicate but faster fish.

Project ’47: Part Two
The Blueprint 383 provides the Advanced Design pickup with nearly 400 hp and 442 lb-ft of torque, which is plenty of power for cruising, especially the fair- grounds. During the engine build, Blueprint Engines took the time to photograph the machining process, as the company completely refurbished the Chevy four-bolt main block, machined and assembled it into a brand new horsepower monster.

IN ARM’S WAY
Maximum’s design replaces the upper control arms with a torque arm and a Panhard rod, each of which has only one job rather than two. The Panhard rod centers the axle from side to side, and the torque arm controls pinion angle. Assigning each of these duties to separate components allows each piece to be better at its one job than the stock upper control arms are at either job. The torque arm is essentially a three-link design, and Maximum claims that it improves traction so much that after installation you may have to alter your sway bars to prevent understeer.

Why We’re Fired Up About Stainless Headers Mfg. Inc.
Performance is all about precision, and Stainless Headers Mfg. Inc. brings that to the table with their Oval Exhaust Components. Whether you’re hitting the track, crawling trails, or dialing in your street machine, these parts are the solution you didn’t know you needed.
Built to Perform
Here’s the deal: their oval exhaust tubing is a game-changer for tight-clearance builds. It’s all about keeping flow and performance dialed in while sidestepping ground clearance headaches. Let’s hit the highlights:
- 304 Stainless Steel: This isn’t just any steel—it’s American-made 304 stainless. That means strength, corrosion resistance, and long-lasting performance, no matter how hard you push it.
- Mandrel Bends: Smooth, unrestricted flow is the name of the game. These precision bends keep your exhaust flowing free, giving you more power and efficiency where it counts.
- Custom Fit for Anything: Whether you’re wrenching on a race car, an off-road warrior, or a show-stopping cruiser, these components fit like a glove. From bends and mufflers to flanges and more, your options are wide open.
Why Oval Tubing Rocks
Oval exhaust tubing? Absolutely. It delivers the same cross-sectional flow as round tubing but with a lower profile. Translation: more clearance and zero compromise on performance. Add in the high-quality build and seamless design from Stainless Headers Mfg. Inc., and you’ve got an exhaust system that’s tough, efficient, and built to last.
