The Epic Corvettes of the Triple Crown of Rodding
When it comes to America’s sports car, the Chevrolet Corvette has always been a blank canvas for creativity, speed, and style. From factory-pure survivors to wild, one-off customs, the Triple Crown of Rodding 2025 proved once again that no other nameplate captures the imagination of builders and fans quite like the Corvette.
SUBTLE STANDOUT
From the low-key approach applied to this ’55 Chevy, it’s obvious that Jack and Gail Jenkins’ reasons for building it were based around applied craftsmanship, when you take into account the subtle style it displays. While the bodywork and paint are flawless, there’s little sign of the modifications beneath it, or the effort that went into them.
Mahoney’s Two-Toney
It’s always an uphill battle when it comes to acquiring, building and maintaining an old car, and no one knows that better than Dale and Dorinda Mahoney. You’re looking at their ’69 Mustang, and if there was ever a car that fought back, this is it. The initial build didn’t give the father-and-son(s) team of Dale, Craig and Shawn Mahoney too much trouble, as most of the build was handled in-house at their shop, Mahoney’s Auto Service in Highland, Indiana. The guys at Mafco Customs, a division of Mahoney’s Auto, also pitched in with custom suspension components, but the Mustang didn’t travel very far during the entire build, as Mafco is also located in Highland. Just as with any other car, there were problems during the restoration process, but everything turned out great, and the Mahoneys started putting miles on their freshly restored Mustang.

A Rally of American Pride
The Triple Crown of Rodding 2025 wasn’t just the biggest hot rod event in the nation — on Saturday, September 6, it became a rally of American pride at the Nashville Superspeedway. Actor, advocate, and true patriot Gary Sinise lit up the night with his Lt. Dan Band, delivering a high-octane rock ’n’ roll concert that saluted our service members, veterans, and first responders.
Red, White, and Blue Energy
From the first guitar riff to the final encore, the show felt more like a red, white, and blue block party than a concert. With more than 3,500 custom vehicles, 190 exhibitors, and thousands of fans waving flags, the crowd embodied everything the Triple Crown stands for: American craftsmanship, unity, and gratitude for our heroes.
