PRODUCT SPOTLIGHT: HEAVY-DUTY 6-BOLT LS IRON BLOCK by SMEDING PERFORMANCE

TO THE POWER OF FUN
When you’re talking power, few know more about it than Joe Granatelli. Not only does he come from the legendary Granatelli racing family, Granatelli is a licensed Pro Street drag racer and spent time as an instructor at the Roy Hill Drag Racing School. In 1989, he founded Granatelli Motor Sports, and since that time he has been busy designing and manufacturing items that add power to your truck or car. Those items include the Big G systems as well as exhaust and other high performance systems for not only gas and diesel pickups, but also for some fast Mustangs as well.
Two of those performance items are the Fuego Tuner and Hi-Performance Coil-On-Plug Connectors. The Fuego is a hand-held computer tuner that not only adds horsepower, it allows the person to control many of the actions associated with increasing the performance of the truck. Do you want the trans to shift not only firmer but also at a different rpm than the stock unit? The Fuego is capable of doing it. Do you have bigger tires? No problem. Want to retard or advance the spark? The Fuego can do that too.

Cherry Bomb
There are all kinds of daily drivers: those called drivers because they have a few road miles on them, so they are not considered show cars; and those that are true daily drivers because they represent your only mode of transportation. Most rodders have been there at one time or another, when all we had were our hot rods to drive. The stories are endless about how these cars were transformed from grocery-getter to show car, but it happens. You use the car for family needs throughout the winter months and then clean it up come spring, maybe even paint the fenders, and enter it in a local rod show.

THE TRIPLE CROWN OF RODDING PRODUCT ROUND-UP
The Standout Parts, Products and Build Ideas We Spotted at the 2026 Triple Crown of Rodding
There’s always something new to discover at the Triple Crown of Rodding, and the fourth annual gathering was no exception. Held September 11–12, 2026, at Nashville Superspeedway in Lebanon, Tennessee, the event brought together an impressive collection of hot rods, customs and trucks, along with many of the builders and manufacturers who keep the industry moving forward.
As we walked the grounds and made our way through the vendor displays, plenty of products caught our attention. They weren’t always the biggest or flashiest items in the booth. Some stood out because they offered a smart solution, showed off quality craftsmanship or simply gave us a fresh idea for a future build.
From complete chassis, suspension systems and drivetrain upgrades to custom grilles, interiors, truck-bed floors and the smaller finishing touches that can bring an entire vehicle together, this collection covers nearly every part of a build. Some of these products add performance, while others improve comfort, appearance or usability. The best manage to do several of those things at once.
Here’s a closer look at the companies and products that stood out to us during our walk through the 2026 Triple Crown of Rodding.
Alumicraft
We stopped by the Alumicraft booth for a closer look at a detail that can make a big difference in a build’s personality: the grille. Based in Bellwood, Pennsylvania, Alumicraft has been building aluminum grille inserts since 1988, with a lineup covering street rods, muscle cars and classic trucks. What started with a grille for a family member’s 1933 Ford Victoria has grown into a business helping builders give their rides a distinctive face.
Alumicraft combines hand-built craftsmanship with CNC-machined fixtures that keep grille bar spacing precise and consistent. That attention to detail matters when the front end has to hold its own against the rest of a carefully finished car. Rex Satterfield’s 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air convertible, “Elegant Lady,” completed by Riffey’s Hot Rods & Restorations, wears an Alumicraft grille and captured the 2026 Ridler Award at Detroit Autorama. With inspiration around every corner at the Triple Crown, this stop was a reminder that the smaller details can have a major impact on the finished package.
A prime example is Alumicraft’s 1933 Dodge grille insert, a custom-built aluminum piece that gives this classic Mopar a crisp finishing touch. CNC-machined and built to order, the insert is available with 1/4-inch or 3/8-inch bar spacing, front or full polishing, and an optional inward bend at the top of the bars. Those choices let builders tailor the look to their project, giving an often-overlooked street rod platform some well-deserved attention up front.
Alumicraft
We build the best aluminum grilles for the street rod and hot rod industry. If we don't have it, chances are nobody does! Plus, there's always the option of building a one-off for you.
Bedwood
Continuing through the show grounds, we stopped by BedWood, where the focus shifted from front-end details to what’s behind the cab. A beautifully finished wood bed can bring an entire pickup build together, and the Kentucky-based manufacturer gives classic truck owners plenty of ways to make that space their own. Its complete wood bed kits use sustainably sourced lumber, with choices ranging from traditional pine and red oak to distinctive species such as black walnut, leopard wood and zebra wood.
The boards arrive pre-cut, pre-milled and pre-drilled to factory specifications, helping take the guesswork out of fitting a new bed floor. Builders can choose unfinished wood or order it pre-sealed and pre-finished, with HydroSatin providing a subdued satin appearance and HydroShine bringing out the grain with a glossy finish. Undrilled boards are also available for projects requiring custom mounting locations.
BedWood carries that flexibility through to the bed strips, offering traditional steel and polished stainless options alongside hidden-fastener strips for a cleaner appearance. Its SpeedBump and FlatTop aluminum strips add a more contemporary touch. For truck builders working toward a cohesive look from bumper to bumper, those choices help make the bed floor an integral part of the overall design.
BedWood brings that same classic character to steel-bed pickups with its RETROLINER wood bed liners, giving owners a way to work real wood into their builds. Applications include the ever-popular 1973–1987 Chevrolet Squarebody C10 trucks, along with select modern Chevrolet Silverado, GMC Sierra and Ford F-Series pickups. Available in multiple wood species and pre-finished for weather resistance, the liners are tailored to specific truck applications. Whether you’re finishing a custom Squarebody or adding personality to a newer truck, that combination of natural woodgrain and metal bed strips adds a distinctive touch behind the cab—a fitting addition to the wish list as we continued our rounds at the Triple Crown.
Belltech
Our next stop at the brought us to Belltech, a name with deep roots in the sport truck movement. Founded in Fresno, California, in 1983, the company helped change how enthusiasts lowered their pickups with drop spindles designed to bring the truck down while preserving the front suspension geometry. For builders chasing that just-right stance, Belltech helped make a lowered Chevrolet pickup a much more practical proposition.
That approach grew into a broad suspension lineup, including lowering springs, shackles, hangers, flip kits and purpose-built shocks. Today, Belltech’s offerings extend across multiple truck brands and include lowering, leveling and lift systems, along with performance shocks and coilovers. More than four decades after its start, the company continues to address the details that make a truck’s stance work on the road as well as it does parked at a show.
For 2021-and-newer Ford F-150 owners, Belltech offers packages for both 2WD and 4WD trucks. The 1050SP provides 2WD models with Street Performance front struts, rear shocks and a rear flip kit for 1–3.5 inches of front lowering and 4.5 inches in the rear, while the 1054SP offers 1–3.5 inches up front and 5.5 inches out back for 4WD applications. Builders wanting height-adjustable front performance coilovers can step into the corresponding 1050SPC or 1054SPC packages, giving late-model Ford fans another way to dial in their street truck.
Bowler Performance Transmissions
Making our way through the Triple Crown of Rodding, we stopped by Bowler Performance Transmissions, where the focus was on what happens after a show car leaves its parking spot. Founded in 1963 as a small family-owned transmission shop, Bowler grew from serving local customers into building custom transmission packages for street rods, muscle cars, Pro Touring machines and other specialty vehicles. Under Mark Bowler, that family foundation developed into a business centered on matching the transmission to the vehicle and the way its owner wants to drive it.
That attention to the complete driving experience extends to the components that make a transmission installation work properly. Based in Lawrenceville, Illinois, Bowler approaches the transmission as an essential part of the build, deserving the same planning and attention as the engine, chassis and bodywork. For enthusiasts putting serious miles on their cars, shift behavior and highway manners matter long after the trophies have been handed out.
For builds running a GM 700-R4 or 200-4R, Bowler’s all-in-one lock-up kits and Tru-Shift throttle correction system address two important installation details. The transmission-specific lock-up modules automatically engage the torque converter clutch 8–10 seconds after fourth gear engages, without requiring a vacuum switch or bulky external control box. Tru-Shift handles the throttle-valve cable geometry and adjustment, helping establish the proper relationship between throttle movement and transmission operation. Together, the systems simplify setup and help deliver the consistent shifting and comfortable cruising that make an overdrive swap worthwhile.
Bowler Performance Transmissions
Bowler Performance Transmissions is committed and focused on the Pro/Touring, Custom and hot rod market through education, inspiration, and collaboration. Our goal is to be the only transmission company you will ever need.
Cold-Case Radiators
Keeping a modified classic cool can be a challenge, especially once more horsepower, air conditioning and summer cruising are added to the equation. That made the Cold-Case Radiators booth a worthwhile stop. Founded in 2014, Cold-Case was created to provide enthusiasts with high-quality aluminum performance radiators at a reasonable price. The company is backed by more than 35 years of experience serving the classic-car market through Max Performance, with Pypes Performance Exhaust serving as its sister company.
Cold-Case radiators feature 100-percent TIG-welded aluminum construction and efficient two-row cores with large tubes designed to deliver serious cooling without relying on a bulky three- or four-row layout. Many applications offer an OEM-style fit and appearance, with polished stamped tanks and options for built-in automatic-transmission coolers. Fan-and-shroud packages are also available for builders looking to put together a more complete cooling system. Cold-Case backs its radiators with a limited lifetime warranty and a 60-Day COOL Guarantee.
The company’s broad selection includes options for popular Chevrolet platforms such as mid-1960s C10 pickups, Chevy II models, Tri-Five Chevys and first-generation Camaros, with exact fitment depending on the year and configuration selected. Cold-Case also offers universal-fit radiators in multiple sizes and hose arrangements, giving custom builders a solid option when an application-specific radiator is not available—or when the engine bay has moved far beyond its original layout.

Firestone Airide
Our walk next brought us to Firestone Airide, a company whose air spring history stretches back to 1938. That background brings decades of experience managing ride quality and load support. Today, Firestone’s expertise reaches everything from passenger vehicles and pickups to commercial trucks, with its aftermarket products bringing that technology to enthusiasts’ own builds.
The red Ford F-450 dually at the booth brought plenty of heavy-duty attitude to the display, courtesy of Brian’s Motorsports, better known as BMS. Based in Hendersonville, Tennessee, the shop has been personalizing vehicles since 2001, with services ranging from custom wheels and tires to performance upgrades, audio, electronics and extensive vehicle customization. BMS builds around each owner’s vision, and this imposing Ford provided a fitting backdrop for a subject that matters to plenty of showgoers: how a truck behaves when it’s time to put it to work.
Of particular interest was Firestone’s new long-travel Ride-Rite kit, P/N 2650, developed for 2021–2026 Ford F-250, F-350 and F-450 trucks, including single- and dual-rear-wheel applications. The kit features a new long-travel air spring and a redesigned lower bracket arrangement, bringing an updated load-support option to late-model Super Duty owners. With the BMS F-450 sharing the booth, it was a fitting product to spotlight for enthusiasts whose trucks pull double duty as custom builds and hardworking haulers.

Flaming River Industries
At the Flaming River booth, our walk through the Triple Crown of Rodding turned toward an upgrade you feel every time you get behind the wheel: steering. Founded in 1987, the Berea, Ohio-based company builds steering systems for street rods, muscle cars, classics and trucks, with tilt columns, power rack-and-pinion assemblies, steering shafts and billet accessories manufactured in-house. For builders looking beyond paint, wheels and horsepower, Flaming River offers plenty of ways to improve the connection between driver and machine.
For 1988–1993 Chevy/GMC OBS truck owners, the FR30020BK column-shift tilt steering column offers a clean replacement with a black powdercoat finish, keyed ignition and the convenience of tilt adjustment. Made in the USA, the column measures 35 inches long and uses a 2-inch-diameter tube, bringing a neatly finished component into an area the driver sees and touches on every trip. It’s the kind of upgrade worth considering while planning an interior refresh or a more extensive truck build.
Underneath the truck, Flaming River’s FR371KTPWNC power rack-and-pinion cradle kit takes the steering upgrade further for 1988–1998 Chevrolet C1500 pickups. Designed for use with the original steering column and power steering pump, the kit provides a route to rack-and-pinion steering without requiring those components to be replaced. The tilt function comes from the column, while the cradle system handles the rack-and-pinion conversion—two distinct upgrades that give OBS enthusiasts some interesting possibilities for their next project.

Gennie Shifter
We swung by the Gennie Shifter booth to check out a familiar favorite for putting an automatic in a classic car. Its Lo-Stick™ shifter keeps things simple: pull the stick to the left to move past the stops, with no button to push or shift cable to route. That also means you’re free to top it off with a compatible knob of your choosing. The two-piece design lets you install the upper stick after the transmission is in place and swap it later, while mid- and rear-mount options help put the shifter where you need it.
And choosing that knob is where the fun starts. Gennie has everything from classic black and engraved V8 knobs to Nostalgia Series designs, skulls and tapered aluminum styles. Want to bring a little of your truck’s paint color into the cab? The acrylic knobs offer solid colors, stripes and swirls that could do the trick. You can keep it subtle, match the upholstery or give an otherwise simple interior a little unexpected attitude.
Gennie also offers thread adapters to help match the knob to your shift stick. It’s an easy detail to overlook when you’re busy choosing engines, wheels and paint, but it’s something you’ll see and grab every time you take the car out. Looking through the choices, it’s pretty easy to start thinking, “That would look good in mine.”
GSI Machine & Fabrication
We headed over to GSI Machine & Fabrication for a look at what goes into getting a classic truck down low. The family-owned Arizona company has been serving the custom truck community since 2000, designing and manufacturing parts in-house at its Chandler facility. With everything from suspension components to complete chassis in its lineup, GSI gives builders plenty of ways to rethink what’s underneath their favorite pickup.
For anyone working on a 1967–1972 C10, the GSI Air Ride Front Kit, P/N 125-2001A-CP4S5, offers a substantial front suspension upgrade. Also fitting 1963–1966 trucks, the bolt-in system replaces the factory front crossmember, control-arm mounts and steering with an air ride setup designed to let the truck lay frame. It includes upper and lower control arms, air springs, shocks, CPP spindles and power rack-and-pinion steering, putting the major components together in one package.
GSI also narrows the front track for wheel clearance and relocates the wheel position an inch to help center it in the opening. Updated geometry is designed to reduce bump steer and camber change as the suspension moves—details that matter when you actually drive the truck. It’s a serious upgrade that requires supporting changes, including inner-fender removal and a low-profile oil pan, but for a C10 build headed toward an aggressive stance, there’s plenty here to get the ideas flowing.

Hotshoe Hot Rods
We stopped by Hotshoe Hot Rods to check out the foundation for a classic hot rod build. Based in Billings, Missouri, the full-service shop handles everything from suspension parts and frame rails to rolling chassis and turnkey hot rods. Whether you want to do most of the work yourself or start with the major pieces already together, Hotshoe offers several ways to get your project moving.
Its 1932 Ford chassis lineup is a good example. Builders can start with stamped rails, step up to a boxed frame or go with a complete rolling chassis in highboy or full-fender configurations. For a traditional look, the straight-axle package includes a 4-inch dropped tube or I-beam axle, four-bars or hairpins, Vega cross steering and front disc brakes. Out back, a triangulated four-bar and adjustable coilovers locate a new Ford 9-inch housing and axles, with the third member selected separately.
If independent front suspension is part of your plan, Hotshoe also offers a Heidt’s Mustang II IFS package, with additional Heidt’s Superide and Kugel options available. There are even roadster and three-window coupe body-and-chassis packages for builders looking to tackle both purchases together. For anyone who’s been saying, “One day I’m going to build a ’32,” this is the sort of booth that gets you thinking about making room in the garage.
Hotshoe Hot Rods
HHR is a full service Hot Rod Shop, building quality Street Rod Chassis with fixtures made to exact specifications. HHR builds Suspension Parts, Frame Rails, Rolling Chassis, or turn key hot rods, depending on your needs.
You can find us at 440 SW Hwy 60, Billings, MO 65610
Kincer Chassis
We stopped by Kincer Chassis to explore a question that comes up in just about every build: what’s going under the hood? Based in Louisville, Tennessee, Kincer helps enthusiasts sort through powertrain upgrades and choose components that work together. If you know you want more power but haven’t figured out all the pieces, that’s a useful conversation to have before the engine bay is empty.
One option worth a closer look is the Ford 7.3L Godzilla V8, rated at 430 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque. It combines a cast-iron block, aluminum heads and a forged-steel crankshaft with port fuel injection and variable cam timing. The pushrod layout brings some familiar Ford V8 character to the swap, with plenty of displacement for a classic truck or hot rod. Kincer has also run one in its own vintage Ford truck, giving the team firsthand experience beyond the spec sheet.
The crate engine includes the intake manifold, 80 mm throttle body, exhaust manifolds, ignition coils and wires, oil pan and production flexplate. The rest of the swap still needs to be planned around the vehicle, and that’s where Kincer’s focus on compatible components comes into play. For anyone imagining a classic Ford with a healthy dose of modern V8 power, the Godzilla gives you plenty to think about on the walk back to your truck.

Knoxville Driveline
A Buick Grand National is always a good reason to slow down and take a look, and the one on display at the Knoxville Driveline booth gave us just that excuse. Behind the hardware was a Tennessee shop that handles everything from custom driveshafts to balancing and driveline repairs, serving street cars, hardworking pickups and off-road rigs alike.
For Toyota Tacoma 4×4 owners, its one-piece driveshaft conversions offer a worthwhile upgrade, with separate applications for 1995–2004 and 2005-and-newer trucks. The later-model aluminum version replaces the factory two-piece shaft and eliminates the carrier bearing, simplifying the driveline with Sonnax aluminum components and solid Spicer U-joints. Each shaft is built to the customer’s measurements and arrives fully assembled and balanced, giving owners a purpose-built replacement backed by the shop’s driveline experience.
Whether your Tacoma spends its time commuting, exploring trails or heading out for a weekend adventure, quality parts underneath deserve a spot on the upgrade list. And with aluminum and carbon-fiber driveshaft options for other applications, Knoxville Driveline has plenty to offer the hot rod and muscle car crowd, too. The Grand National supplied the eye candy; the driveshafts gave us another reason to stick around.
LMC Truck
If you need something for a classic truck, odds are LMC Truck has it. Its extensive catalogs cover nearly every corner of a build, from body panels, trim and lighting to suspension, mechanical parts and complete interior components. That makes LMC a familiar resource whether you’re tackling a full restoration or simply replacing something that has seen better days.
Anyone restoring or customizing an 1988–1998 Chevy or GMC pickup knows how quickly a tired factory seat can drag down the entire interior. LMC Truck’s Signature Brown Custom Bench Seat offers a complete replacement that keeps the roomy bench-seat layout while giving the cab a much richer, more finished appearance.
The 60-inch split-back bench, P/N 38-2117-BN, is covered in premium brown vinyl with matching stitching, making it a natural fit for everything from a mostly stock OBS restoration to a fully customized truck. Ergonomically shaped cushions use high-density molded foam for support, while an all-steel, TIG-welded frame provides a strong foundation underneath. Slider tracks and reclining seatbacks are included, and the seat arrives fully assembled.
That warm brown upholstery could set the tone for an entire interior, pairing nicely with tan, black, cream or body-color accents. Add the vehicle-specific mounting bracket, and you have a straightforward way to replace a worn-out bench with something that looks custom and should make every cruise more comfortable. It was one of those products that could have you mentally redesigning your truck’s interior before you even leave the booth.
Master Power Brakes
Stopping power matters, but on a carefully finished build, so does the way everything looks when the hood comes up. Master Power Brakes has built its reputation helping classic-car and truck owners upgrade outdated braking systems with components designed for modern performance. From complete disc-brake conversion kits to master cylinders, boosters and related hardware, the company gives builders plenty of options for making an older vehicle stop with greater confidence.
The product that caught our attention was the Carbon X Brake Booster, a component designed to look every bit as impressive as the rest of a high-end engine compartment. Its high-gloss, genuine carbon-fiber outer shells surround modern 9-inch dual-diaphragm internals, combining dependable power-brake assistance with a finish that was meant to be seen instead of hidden.
CNC-machined billet-aluminum components hold the assembly together, including outer rings offered in black anodized, polished or brushed finishes. Builders can also choose visible or hidden hardware and explore custom finishing options to better match the rest of the engine bay. The result turns a part that often looks purely functional into another opportunity to add detail and personality to the build.
Master power Brakes

Moser
There comes a point in any serious build when the factory rear end becomes the weak link, and that is where Moser Engineering enters the picture. The Indiana company has been building American-made axles and rear-end assemblies since 1986, earning a reputation among street, strip and show-car builders for strength, quality and fast turnaround times.
Moser’s MUSCLEPAK rear ends take the guesswork out of putting together a complete rear assembly. Available in several configurations—including the traditional Ford 9-inch, fabricated M9, GM 12-bolt, Mopar 8¾-inch, M88 and Moser 60—each package can be built around the vehicle and the way it will be driven. Builders can select the gearing, differential, brakes, bolt pattern, finish and other options needed to match everything from a comfortable cruiser to a high-horsepower street-and-strip machine.
Best of all, a MUSCLEPAK arrives completely assembled and ready to become the foundation for putting power to the pavement. Instead of hunting down a housing, axles, gears, brakes and all the smaller pieces separately, Moser puts the complete package together. For anyone planning serious horsepower—or simply wanting to eliminate one more unknown from a build—it is a strong, straightforward solution from a name that has been proving itself for four decades.
Premier Street Rod Parts & Manufacturing
Anyone who has restored a 1967–1972 Chevrolet C10 knows how quickly “a little rust repair” can turn into replacing half the truck. Premier Street Rod Parts & Manufacturing offers another route, producing complete reproduction bodies, cabs and sheet-metal packages for builders who would rather begin with clean steel than spend months undoing decades of corrosion and damage.
The 1967–1972 C10 Complete Sheet Metal Package, P/N PSR-6772-SMK, provides nearly everything needed to create an all-new truck body. The package includes a complete cab, front fenders, hood, grille panels, inner fenders, bed assembly, tailgate and the supporting pieces that bring it all together. That gives builders a straight, consistent foundation for anything from a dependable driver to a full-blown show truck.
Premier also leaves plenty of room to make the C10 your own. Buyers can choose the model-year appearance, small- or large-window cab, floor and firewall configuration, hood style, bed design, tailgate treatment and several custom touches. Starting fresh will not eliminate every hour of bodywork, but it can replace rust repair and mismatched old panels with something far more exciting: building the truck you actually pictured from the beginning.

Precision Stainless Fab
Some components are hidden beneath a finished build for good reason. The fuel tanks from Precision Stainless Fab, better known as PSF, look clean enough that covering them almost seems unfair. The company specializes in custom stainless-steel fuel tanks and turnkey fueling solutions for everything from vintage replacements to modern LS- and LT-powered builds.
A custom C10 fuel tank is a perfect showcase for that craftsmanship. PSF’s neatly formed stainless construction, exceptionally clean welds and carefully placed fittings create a tank that looks purpose-built for the truck—not like a universal box adapted as an afterthought. The stainless construction also brings durability and corrosion resistance to a component expected to spend its life beneath the vehicle.
PSF can build the tank around the needs of the project, including its fuel pump, sending unit, filler location and plumbing requirements. That gives C10 builders a clean way to support modern fuel injection while keeping the entire system organized and ready to perform. It may disappear beneath the bed once the truck is finished, but the quality is obvious before it ever goes into place.

Repops Automotive
A restoration can have perfect paint and a spotless interior, but worn window felts will still make it feel unfinished. RePops specializes in those easily overlooked pieces, producing reproduction soft-trim components that help classic cars look, feel and function the way they should.
For 1965–1966 Ford Mustangs, RePops offers authentic-style window-felt kits designed to replace the flattened, cracked or missing originals along the beltline. The M160 eight-piece kit fits coupes and convertibles, while the M161 four-piece kit covers fastbacks. Both feature the correct wide outer style for a more factory-accurate appearance.
Fresh window felts provide a clean finished edge around the glass while helping wipe away moisture and debris, steady the windows and reduce unwanted rattles. They may not be the flashiest parts of a Mustang restoration, but once the old felts are replaced, the difference is easy to see—and appreciate every time the windows roll up or down.
Smokey Road Rod Shop
A beautifully finished wood bed can make an old truck, but keeping it beautiful takes work. Sun, moisture and everyday use can quickly take a toll on traditional lumber. Smokey Road Rod Shop in LaGrange, Georgia, offers another approach with its Advantage Aluminum Bed Floor System, combining the appearance of real wood with the strength and durability of aluminum.
The system starts with ¾-inch-thick 6063-T6 extruded aluminum boards covered in commercial-grade flooring laminate. High-definition images taken from real wood create convincing grain and color, while the 10-year UV-rated surface is designed to handle life outdoors. With choices ranging from traditional oak and weathered barnwood to tiger maple, rosewood and other exotic patterns—many available in satin or gloss—the bed floor can complement nearly any build style.
Smokey Road offers bolt-in kits for trucks originally equipped with wood floors, drop-in systems for early trucks with steel beds and DIY kits sized for heavily customized applications. Depending on the configuration, kits include stainless-steel strips, mounting hardware, under-floor supports and either visible or hidden fasteners. The result delivers the warmth and character of a custom wood bed without the same worry about scratches, weather and ongoing refinishing.
TCI Engineering
Most custom C10s are built low, but TCI Engineering had something on display for builders who want to sit taller and put four-wheel drive to work. The California company has been designing American-made chassis and suspension systems since 1974, giving vintage cars and trucks the ride quality, handling and strength expected from a much newer vehicle.
The TCI Pro2 4×4 chassis combines the unmistakable style of a 1967–1972 Chevrolet C10/K10 with serious four-wheel-drive capability. Its purpose-built frame is paired with front and rear four-link suspension, adjustable FOX coilovers, heavy-duty Currie axles, RockJock steering components and Wilwood disc brakes. With 12 inches of wheel travel and room for tires up to 37 inches tall, the package gives builders the stance and hardware needed to create something far more adventurous than the average restored pickup.
What makes the TCI 4×4 chassis especially interesting is its ability to work in more than one environment. The adjustable suspension can be tuned for comfortable highway cruising, desert running or crawling through rough terrain. Instead of trying to adapt modern four-wheel-drive components to an aging factory frame, builders get a complete foundation engineered to let a classic Chevrolet truck look vintage while driving—and exploring—on an entirely different level.

Wegner Automotive
A big-block Chevy already commands plenty of attention, so the accessory drive hanging off the front should look like it belongs there. Wegner Automotive has built its reputation around serious performance engines and thoughtfully engineered drive systems that bring the same level of detail to the pulleys, brackets and accessories surrounding them.
The Big-Block Chevy Front Accessory Drive, P/N WAK025, gives builders a clean, coordinated way to mount and drive the engine’s alternator, power-steering pump, water pump and air-conditioning compressor. Its CAD-designed, CNC-machined billet brackets and pulleys replace the collection of mismatched factory-style pieces with a rigid serpentine system designed for dependable belt control and a much more organized appearance.
Like Wegner’s other front accessory drive systems, the WAK025 brings function and presentation together in one package. The tightly grouped components and precision-machined hardware let the size and attitude of the big-block remain the star of the engine bay. For a C10, muscle car or street rod that still demands old-school cubic inches, it is a clean way to add modern accessory-drive performance without losing the engine’s classic character.
